Movement Lab - Your path to an inspired practice

Take your practice to new dimensions.

Movement Lab is an all day exploration of angles, gravity, props, progression, play, and so much more! This extended workshop is designed to get you thinking outside of the rectangle of your yoga mat to find new possibilities of movement in your body. We’ll cover everything from spinal mapping to progressive load to uncover sustainable, accessible and creative practices that work for all bodies.

We’ll begin the day with an extended practice mapping the whole system of the body. We’ll compare passive and active ranges of motion, learn about progressive load, and highlight your body blindspots. We’ll use props both to support the practice and to develop strength and a greater sense of engagement in your whole body.

In the afternoon we’ll focus on progression and sequencing. Working together to deconstruct poses down to their basic foundational components and learn to rebuild the pose from the ground up with adequate preparation, mindful sequencing, and creative play.

Movement Lab will inspire you to see your both and others in a new way. You’ll leave feeling super charged and inspired. The creative tools you build in this workshop will give you more variety of movement and greater options to support your body, your practice, and your student’s practices.

This workshop is for anyone who feels stuck in their practice or in their teaching. This workshop is for anyone who’s experienced a shift in their practice after an injury. This workshop is for anyone curious about 'different'. This workshop is for anyone who wants to find joy in movement and feel better in their body.
